Post-Pregnancy Pilates Workout

The first few months after having a baby, everyone cuts you slack on your post-baby physique...and rightly so! You will be your toughest critic, but, you also know your body best. It's amazing if you think of all the changes your body endures through pregnancy and especially labor. I am nearing the 6th month mark after labor and now know I need to give myself that extra boost. I talked to one of my old college roommates, who recently became a pilates instructor (so neat right?), and asked if there were certain exercises she could recommend to target specific areas after a baby. After sending over a few video clips for me to view on the computer, she surprised me by mailing a workout DVD: Power Pilates Post-Pregnancy Workout. She told me it received a lot of positive feedback. I was so touched and excited to get started. It just took me some time to set the time aside to work it in! Well, a few days ago, I cracked the seal and began implementing the workout into my morning routine when Abigail goes down for her morning nap. I feel great after, the video goes quickly, and the trainer herself in a new mom! It's even more relevant taking pointers from someone who's been there and looks great. Mentally, I feel refreshed after. I will make a point to post a follow up two weeks from today and will comment on any results I am seeing, which I have high hopes for. While my arms are getting quite toned from lifting a 16 pound baby all the time, my stomach and abdominal muscles are finally getting the attention they need to get back to my pre-baby stage.
